General Hospital’s latest spoilers tease that Britt Westbourne might get involved who is the baby’s father storyline on the show. It looks like things might change for Britt in the upcoming weeks of the soap. Viewers know that things never go the way as said on the soaps.
The speculation has it that even though Britt doesn’t want to be a mom, she might get pregnant, but the baby’s father will be a mystery. What will happen next? Keep reading to find out.
Britt Doesn’t Want To Be A Mom
For starters, viewers know that there was a time when Britt understood what being a mother was. GH fans might remember that Britt carried Lulu Spencer and Dante Falconeri’s kid and got very attached to Baby Ben who is now Rocco Falconeri.
In addition, Britt was also very fond of Spencer Cassadine when he was young. So, it’s not like Britt doesn’t want to have a baby. It’s her health that doesn’t allow her. Britt has Huntington’s disease, which has made her decide otherwise.
The spoilers of February 23, 2022, suggest that Britt and Austin are discussing how her half-brother Peter August is dead, and she’s happy that the “demented bloodline” has ended now. That made Austin realize that Britt doesn’t want to have her own kids, and Britt agrees to it.
She tells Austin that kids are not in her plan, and Austin argues that she never knows what the future holds. Long-time soap opera fans know that things never go as said on the soaps. So, it looks like Britt might get involved in a pregnancy storyline on the show soon.
General Hospital: Things Don’t Go As Said On Soaps
When Britt said she didn’t want to have kids, it seemed like she was protesting too much. Often, things don’t go as said on soap. It looks like soap writers always have the exact opposite of what the character is saying.
For instance, when Brook Lynn said that nothing would ever happen between her and Chase. But she recently kissed him. Then, we might also remember when Sonny said he wants to be Carly and not Nina, but he’s on the verge of divorce with Carly. So by the above examples, we can understand that things don’t happen as said by the characters on the soap.
Now that Britt has mentioned she will never-ever-ever-ever get pregnant. It looks like soap writers will put her in the pregnancy storyline. Given the circumstances, it looks like Britt will have a bun in her oven anytime soon. General Hospital always comes up with the most twisted storylines. And it looks like it will involve Britt and Austin this time.
Who Could Be The Father Of Britt’s Child?
Now that Britt might be pregnant, this raises the question of who will be her baby’s father? Long-time GH viewers know that the last time Britt got involved with someone was with Jason Morgan. We know that Jason was falsely accused of killing Franco. So, Britt and Jason ran off together for clues to prove that he was innocent. When they were away, they did spend a night, but that was a long time ago.
Since then, Britt has never been with another man, and now the only man around Britt is Austin. So, that makes Austin the potential father of Britt’s baby. Even though GH is trying to push Maxie and Austin, the fans aren’t liking the chemistry between them. So, writers might pair Austin with Britt now.
The speculation also is that Britt might not have Huntington’s disease at all. As Victor was the one who told Britt that she has this disease but acknowledging the man Victor is, he might have manipulated Britt into believing that she can never have a baby. So, if this happens, it seems like Britt might actually get pregnant in the upcoming weeks at General Hospital.
