Pine Jam Studios produced the first season of the anime series. The fans praise them for their splendid job in animating the show. However, the studio hasn’t revealed anything regarding the future of the anime series. Pine Jam Studio neither renewed nor canceled Gleipnir Season 2.
However, since it hasn’t been an entire year since the completion of its inaugural season, therefore it is a little too early to expect the renewal. The studios usually took more than a year before announcing the following season of the anime series. The author has published nine volumes of the manga so far, with the latest one being released in November 2020. The first season of Gleipnir followed the initial chapters of the sixth volume from the manga.
Therefore, for making Gleipnir Season 2, Pine Jam Studio will need a few more chapters. And that is probably the main reason why the makers haven’t renewed it for the second season. Shuichi, Claire, and college student Tadanori Sanbe are planning a journey to the alien ship’s crash site. Now in Gleipnir Season 2, the fans will see Chihiro inside Shuichi made a really powerful monster that almost killed Subaru. The speculations are that Elena will join this fuse as well and enter Shuichi’s monster. If that happens, then that monster will easily become the most powerful character of the series.
