Coronation Street star Jimmi Harkishin (Dev Alahan) has slammed rumours about his ban from a B&Q store. Previously, The Sun claimed that Jimmi was taken to a backroom at a Manchester B&Q and received a letter banning him after he was suspected of stealing a pot of paint.
However, the soap star now insists it was all a mix-up, explaining, “This was a misunderstanding over a sample pot of paint bought from elsewhere.” Meanwhile, another long-running Coronation Street star has decided to leave the soap. Actress Helen Worth, who plays Gail Rodwell, announced her departure after 50 years on the show.
The soap actress mentioned that this year seemed like the perfect time to leave after celebrating half a century. She described her time on Corrie as the ‘most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world.’ She shared that she made the decision at the start of the year and discussed it with the producers. Worth appreciated the fact that the makers were very supportive.
