It turns out that the hatred for Jeremy Roloff was rooted in fans from some earlier seasons of the show. Clips reveal that he was extremely rude as a teenager and had a pretty bad attitude. One such episode has created a lot of buzz amongst the fans recently. A Reddit user pointed out that Jeremy insulted his mom in an episode while the rest of his family stood and did nothing.
In the particular scene, Matt was discussing how fed up he was with his 20-year-old twin sons for not doing any job and wasting their time. This was when Jeremy started to act like a spoilt child. However, things got worse when Amy joined the scene and started discussing her kids’ careers. Jeremy rudely told his mom that she has nothing to do with their careers because “her job is in the kitchen.” Amy was utterly shocked by the statement and addressed what her young son said. However, he continued to say, “I’m being serious. Dad, farm. You, kitchen.”
Amy looked disappointed in her son and said that a 20-year-old without a job shouldn’t be telling her what to do. Jeremy continues to be rude, and Amy eventually walks away looking sad with the nasty behavior of her son. Another Reddit user uploaded the video of this scene and fans found it extremely disturbing to watch. They were shocked about how Jeremy got away after saying all the controversial things. Even the people who don’t like Amy are standing by her in this case and agree that she was mistreated by her family.

The clip from this particular episode gives a clear insight into how complicated the situation of the Roloff family was. Even though it was Jeremy insulting Amy, no one tried to defend her. Her husband of more than 20 years (at that time) didn’t utter a word as his son disrespected his wife. Moreover, Jeremy’s twin brother, Zach, walked away from the room, avoiding any involvement. In the entire scene, it was only Amy’s teenage daughter (at that time) that stood up for her against her brother. However, she couldn’t be of much help in the situation.
