The reality show alum accused a showrunner of molesting him when he was young. This had left him scarred for years, but now, Jacob is coming out to make peace with his past. Alongside that, he is keen on standing in solidarity with all the silent sexual abuse survivors.

Just a few days ago, Jacob Roloff shared a pretty long message on his Instagram. In this, he shared his experience without delving into details. Jacob accused Chris Cardamone, an executive field producer on the TLC show, of molesting him. He went on to explain that it took him years to garner fortitude to step forward and talk about his ordeal.

Roloff explained that as a child, it was difficult for him to process everything. Consequently, it took him years to come to talk about it. However, now that he’s sharing about his traumatic past, he is feeling better. He further added in his revelatory post that his family is not at fault. The fault entirely lies with the predator, i.e., Chris. Jacob bluntly added that Cardamone shouldn’t be allowed near the children.

Jacob’s Family Support Him After Molestation Claims

After Jacob’s post went up, his family came forth to support him. His wife, Isabel Rock, applauded him for sharing about the incident as reported by In touch. She also added that she’s proud of him. His parents also took a moment to say that they’re truly proud of their boy. His brother, Jeremy, and sister-in-law, Audrey, added that they’d stand beside him at every step he takes in the forward direction.

Jacob Shares His Thoughts On The TLC Show

Jacob shared in his social media post that he found this time right to speak about his past. This exercise would help him to get the memories out of his system. This was long coming, and now that it has, Jacob has probably found his closure. He also shared his thoughts on the reality show. Jacob has already said that the show crafts the scenes without having any real-ness to them. However, he again added this time that they ‘are still sprinting ahead with the enterprise deaf, dumb, and blind, asking for forgiveness later, instead of asking harder preliminary questions of ourselves.’

In the wake of Jacob’s post, TLC released an official statement to Us Weekly. It read that the network was aware of an alleged incident that took place years ago. However, after noting the gravity of the situation, they’d work in cooperation with the authorities. It concluded by adding that the network stands in support of the Roloff family.
