He refrained from getting into the details but made it clear that Chris must not be allowed around the children. Furthermore, Jacob shared that this revelation was long coming. It took him years to process everything he went through and talk about it.

The 23-year-old reality star stated that he first decided to talk about the episode in 2015, following text messages he received from Chris. However, a few days after, he left the TLC show. And it’s only now that Jacob went public about his ordeal. In all the intervening years, Jacob found his strength and words to raise his voice about a pertinent issue – child sexual abuse. He had to let everything bottled up out of his system to come to terms with it. With this revelation, he aims at standing in solidarity with all those who have had a similar experience.

As reported by Hollywood Gossip, after Jacob’s shocking revelation, TLC released an official statement via PEOPLE Magazine. In that, the network admitted to having been uninformed of an alleged encounter that occurred years ago. Reportedly, it included a third party associated with the production of the show. However, TLC is saddened after knowing the gravity of the allegation. With this, they’d stand with the Roloff family and work in cooperation with the higher authorities.

Jacob’s post received overwhelming support from his family members. His mother, Amy, noted that she’s proud of her son and would always love him. His father, Matt, also wrote that he’s very proud of him. Audrey and Jeremy shared that they’d always stand with Jacob as he steps in the forward direction. Molly Roloff also encouraged his brother by saying that she’s always with him 100% while his wife Isabel wrote – ‘Proud to know you, proud to love you, proud to be your wife.’
