Is Love Alarm Season 3 coming this year? Two years after we got the inaugural season of Love Alarm, Netflix has finally dropped its second season. Fans of all ethnicities fell in love with this Korean drama right after its initial release. The first installment of Love Alarm ended on an incredible cliffhanger. And as it happens, just like every other TV show and movie, the production of its much-awaited sequel paused due to the pandemic.

Fortunately, after patiently waiting for about two years, fans have finally received the brand new season of their beloved show. They are all set to find out what happens to childhood besties Hwang Sun-oh and Lee Hye-Yeong and the girl they both fell in love with at the same time, Kim Jojo. Plot Details: There May Be An App Update!

Dating apps have always brought something new and interesting to people’s love life. There always seems to be room for newness and improvement when it comes to technology, making people meet their soulmates. For the next season, fans are wondering if there will be an App update in Love Alarm Season 3. The involvement of AI or robotics or something close to the theme of Black Mirror is suspected.

The app update will likely be set up around a new set of characters and plotlines joining in the upcoming third season. It will be interesting to watch Jojo, Hye-Yeong and Sun-oh find new people, or for that matter, new robots, in their already entangled lives. Fans can also expect to see how Duk-Gu’s two other apps, Love Alarm Go and the lie-detecting app, work out in the future. We are yet to find out.

Love Alarm Season 3: Who Will Be In The Cast?

Even for the cast, there are no confirmations from the showrunners as of now. We don’t know for sure if we are even getting another season, so this is all purely speculative on who will be in the next season. It is expected that we will see the familiar faces of Jojo, Hye-Yeong, Sun-oh, and the rest of the team members as well. It would also be intriguing to follow a brand-new set of characters using the Love Alarm app in future installments.

Love Alarm Season 3: Renewal Updates

As of now, neither Netflix nor the creators of the show have given any hint related to the renewal of Love Alarm Season 3. The series hasn’t been renewed for a third installment yet. However, after the global premiere of Season 2, we now know who will end up with whom. After the season finale, we saw that Jojo goes on to choose Hye-Yeong in the end, and Sun-oh ends up making a new girlfriend, Lee Yuk-Jo.

But despite getting a satisfactory happy ending, we can always hope for twists and turns in their future lives. Besides, we cannot totally rule out the possibilities of a third season either. The webtoon that the show is supposedly based on, is still running. Hence, the showrunners might acquire some of its further storylines for a new installment. We will update this section as soon as the producers renew another sequel of the popular K-drama series.
