For months, Amy has been planning her second wedding and has been overly excited about everything. A major portion of the storyline of LPBW’s new season was centered around the upcoming event. Moreover, even her entire social media is currently full of updates related to the ceremony. As of today, the wedding day is only ten days away. However, it seems like one of the most important members of her family would be missing her big day.
Amy Roloff’s father, Gordon Knight, is currently 92 years old. Fans have heard the Little People Big World matriarch talk about her dad and the impact he’s had on her life pretty often. So, they were shocked to know that he has been unwell for quite a long time. Amy recently posted a story on her Instagram with a wholesome picture of her alongside her father. However, she revealed that he has been in the hospital for the last two weeks. As per what she says, her dad’s condition seems to be a little serious.
However, the TLC veteran also revealed that he’s finally home now. Besides, he’s also getting better and stronger after his return from the hospital. Fans had been hoping that Amy’s father gets better soon. But, Matt Roloff’s ex-wife doesn’t seem to be very hopeful as she said, “But God knows, and so I keep giving it up to Him”. People are now pointing out that Amy sounded way too negative with her announcement. Moreover, it seemed like she was more worried about her wedding than her parent.
Amy Roloff said in her IG story, “Not sure if he’ll make it to our wedding”. A lot of her followers have pointed out that the wedding shouldn’t be her priority when she’s talking about her father’s degrading health. Well, though not at her wedding, Roloff revealed that she’d meet her dad in Michigan. She said, “I’m just happy I’ll get to see him again in Michigan … at least”. Amy also added, “Love my father”. Hours before announcing this, Amy revealed the pictures of her bridal shower.
Little People Big World: Amy Visited Her Dad Right Before He Got Unwell
The last few weeks were probably pretty hard for the LPBW star as she saw her father in the hospital. Fans recently saw her hanging out with her dad during Father’s Day week. She posted several pictures of her week-long trip to her homeland, Michigan, to visit her dad. The two of them hung out her father’s cabin, went to Lake Superior to see pictured rocks, and even did some boating together. She explained in multiple posts how much she loves and cherishes the memories that she was making with him. The Little People Big World celebrity even made some delicious food for her father.
Previously, she and Chris visited Amy’s dad together and even went to the beach. The LPBW matriarch talked about how much she misses her mother, who passed away in 2019. Well, she was heartily hoping that her dad would be at her wedding and has mentioned it a lot of times. However, since he has been unwell for the last couple of weeks, there are chances that he would not be able to attend the wedding.
