Magical Sempai, aka Tejina Senpai, is a Japanese Ecchi comedy anime series. It is the remake of the comedy manga series of the same title by Azu. The viewers first saw this anime on July 2, 2019. Magical Sempai Season 2: Renewal Details!
Liden Films animation studio produced the debut season of the anime series. The animation was pretty decent as compared to the other ecchi comedy series. The anime series received a great response from the viewers. However, it got a mixed response from the critics. So, the fans are demanding the second season of this entertaining show, but the makers are pretty tight-lipped about it. Liden Films also didn’t release any statement regarding Magical Sempai Season 2. The makers are yet to renew or cancel the anime series for its following season. Therefore, the fans are still hopeful that it will return.
Do The Makers Have Enough Source Material?
Just like the other shows, this one is also an adaptation of its source material which is a manga series. Therefore in order to create a new full-fledged season, the makers will need enough source material to adapt. Azu has published seven volumes of the manga series so far. And the eighth one will come out on March 5, 2021. The debut season has adapted the chapters to the fifth volume of the series.
Therefore Liden Films will need a few more chapters for Magical Sempai Season 2 even after the release of its eighth volume. So currently, the makers do not have enough source material to produce another season of the anime.
Magical Sempai Season 2: Will The Anime Return?
Tejina Senpai turned out to be one of the best shows in its particular genre upon its release. It has some really hilarious moments, good character development, and a great storyline. And that makes this one different from other anime shows. The main reason behind the delay in its renewal is the lack of source material to follow. There is no point in renewing the show when there isn’t any source material available for it.
But the fans can expect the makers to renew Magical Sempai Season 2 after the release of the ninth or the tenth volume of the manga. Till then, the fans have to wait to hear the official announcement from the creators.
