The most awaited edition, Mama June: Family Crisis, is finally on air now. It has been a while since it was hyped, and fans weren’t able to control their eagerness. It featured June being rushed to the hospital because of her deteriorating medical condition. Mama June: Pumpkin Feels Shannon Has Relapsed Into Drugs
Drug addiction has been one of the core reasons for the disintegration of Shannon’s family. She had to deal with a lot of issues just because of her drug addiction. In 2019, June was arrested because she was possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with her boyfriend, Geno. Mama June had to go behind bars for the same and also lost Alana’s custody to Pumpkin. Even after having a complicated history, now it seems that Shannon might have relapsed into her old addictions!
In the premiere episode, Pumpkin decided to remind her mother to pay $800 as child support for Alana. When she called her mother, she found out that she was being rushed to the hospital because of severe “dizziness” and “headaches.” This news was a bit alarming for the star kid, and she assumed her mother was back into drugs! However, Mama June tried to explain that she had been clean for about three years and hadn’t relapsed at all! Even in a recent interview with ET, June revealed that “every week,” she gets a checkup related to drugs and submits her reports to the show makers! Hence, for now, it seems that Shannon has completely renounced her old toxic habits.
Is Mama June Not Paying Alana’s Child Support?
Mama June eventually ended up losing Honey Boo Boo’s custody to her daughter, Alana. However, she still had to pay $800 as the “child support” amount of the star kid. In a recent show trailer, Pumpkin and her husband, Josh, discussed how the matriarch once gave up on her daughter because she didn’t want to pay the child support. The couple wondered if Shannon was trying to buy love by spending $300 on Alana’s shoes while she had issues paying the fixed amount.
Pumpkin wasn’t surprised at all. She claimed that her mother was like that! She tends to believe that these things would “fix” the dynamics. However, the star kid was sure that she wouldn’t let June escape and would make her pay the amount. On the other hand, Shannon revealed in a recent interview that she has been paying more lately. She further added that Alana is an expensive and high-maintenance child. Hence, she often ends up spending a lot more than that.
