Mama June Shannon weighed in on Julie and Todd Chrisley’s prison time, hoping the couple learned lessons from their legal woes. She also went on to speak out on her prison past, which happened due to a lot of reasons. In 2019, she wore handcuffs because of her indulgence in illegal substances like cocaine.
After a long battle with the U.S. government and prosecutors, the Chrisleys are relieved that President Trump has pardoned Todd and Julie. The duo is free of the bank fraud and tax evasion case that made their lives hell, and they have gotten used to being behind bars. For more than once, Savannah raised questions about the federal prisons’ deteriorated conditions. What message did June have for Julie and Todd after their impromptu release?

Mama June X Chrisley Knows Best: Shannon Loved Watching Todd & Julie Reunited With Their Children!

Like many Chrisley fans, she also felt happy for the family because they struggled for two consecutive years without any positive results. As Todd and Julie are officially out of prison, Shannon came out to support them, besides saying that Trump won her heart. She created a whole video to talk about them. Mama June X Chrisley Knows Best: Todd & Julie Receive Advice From Shannon!
In an interview with People, June Shannon opened up about things she learned from her prison sentence. She faced legal troubles in life more than anything she imagined. Charges of crack cocaine and a crack pipe on her head were difficult to navigate. Savannah’s parents’ freedom overwhelmed her, but she gave them excellent advice.
June said that she knows Todd and Julie are good and funny people. She told the interviewer that she adores Nanny Faye as well. However, the former Growing Up Chrisley stars should know that they need to show sobriety for at least one year because they can go to jail again.
Shannon added that she would greatly appreciate it if Todd and Julie had learned from “little slap on the wrist.” While it could be bittersweet for them to recall much, they should better grow from it. “This slap on the wrist may not be a slap on the wrist next time,” Alana’s mom stated.
After June’s arrest for drugs, Pumpkin came forward to take Alana’s custody because she was just 14 at that time. The March arrest led to June having felony charges along with Doak. As she didn’t plead guilty to the charges, she is imprisoned for 100 hours to serve a community service sentence.
