Whitney Way Thore, the MBFFL star, hasn’t posted any fresh updates about her beloved half-sister Angie. So, fans perceive that the sisters have stopped bonding much. Angie is Glenn’s daughter from his previous relationship. Through a DNA test, Whitney learned she has a relative who shares the same dad as she does.

Angie was adopted when she was a baby. She now has her children and grandkids, and the Thore family is part of her life. Glenn loves spending time with his biological daughter after Babs’ passed away. Recently, Angie also lost her adoptive mom, Rosalie, who was her best friend, too. MBFFL: Glenn Wanted To Live With Angie & Not Whitney?

Glenn wanted to travel to Alabama to live full-time with his firstborn, Angie, but decided to stick with Whitney in Greensboro, North Carolina. He wanted to be closer to Angie after discovering her in 2022, when his sister Kim took a DNA test to better understand the family tree. 

According to Glenn, he was also upset about Babs’ passing, so he ultimately thought to stay close to his loving late wife’s grave. Despite the disconnection with Angie years ago, he reconnected with her. After his retirement, his plans comprised responsibilities towards both Whitney and Angie. He said he has obligations in Alabama and Greensboro, but Whitney’s frustration with learning her father’s plans led Glenn to never leave her.

Whitney has been completely avoiding talking about Angie on social media. Though the latter has appeared prominently in Season 13 of MBFFL, the former’s lack of respect for her is bothersome. TLC has cast Angie as a regular, who gained massive attention for being the long-lost half-sister of body positivity queen Whitney.

Angie became a grandmother in early 2025. Her daughter Jamie welcomed her first child with her husband, making Whitney transition into a new aunt. Whitney was ecstatic about her new title, which was shown in detail in Season 13. She prepared with Angie for her delivery. While their on-screen relationship seemed all right, their off-screen one always looked different.

Several fans think Whitney is in conflict with Angie because of her family ties. She shares her dad, even though how much TLC emphasized the positive dynamics between all. Some fans found jealousy in Whitney towards her elder sister. When Glenn told Whitney he would move to Alabama, she exposed her true face.

Also, Whitney’s personality is in stark contrast with Angie’s. As the former is often criticized for being manic, obnoxious, and narcissistic, Angie is seen as calmer and more understanding, and is truly an adult.
