Mom Season 8 Episode 6 Release Date Out!
Mom Season 8 will come back with its sixth episode soon. That is good news. However, we have bad news too. Mom Season 8 Episode 6 will not air this week or the next week. The CBS sitcom is going on a Christmas break. So, the upcoming episode 6, titled- “Woo-Woo Lights and an Onside Kick,” will release on January 7, 2021.
This delay will indeed give creators the opportunity to make more episodes of the show when it comes back with the sixth episode earlier next year. It will also allow the production to not lag behind and, in fact, carry on with its steady pace.
This indeed is a long wait for all the viewers of the show, but we must assure you all that it would be worth the wait. Given the title the upcoming episode is given, “Woo-Woo Lights and an Onside Kick,” it is pretty fair to guess that this episode will be based on a football theme somehow. What Has Happened So Far?
The latest and the fifth episode of the season saw Bonnie’s ex-husband- Alvin coming back. Bonnie gets quite worried about Adam and his safety as he goes away skiing. Things that have happened in the past start troubling her. So, Alvin comes to visit her from the Great Beyond.
In the first season, when Christy confronted her father, Bonnie had come back to Alvin’s life, and the two of them got back together. However, their happiness was short-lived as Alvin had a major heart attack and died in the second season. Years later, now when Bonnie is so worried, Alvin visits her in her dreams and helps her overcome this fear. The next upcoming episode, Mom Season 8 Episode 6, will see Bonnie free from her fears and supporting Adam as he goes on to ski.
Will Mom Season 8 Be The Last Of The Show?
Ever since the news about Anna Faris leaving the show surfaced in September 2020, everyone had been wondering if Mom Season 8 would be the last of the show. As of now, CBS has not confirmed anything. So, we would say that there is still a chance that CBS would allow the creators to bid decent goodbye to the show. However, the ratings of the show have dropped in the eighth season than it was in the seventh season.
Back in September, when Faris had announced her decision to leave the show, Christy was sent to her law school. It seemed like a fitting departure to the character. There were speculations that she would be killed off. However, that did not happen. In an interview with TVLine, ‘Mom ’ co-creator Gemma Baker says that Faris’ departure would not affect Christy’s happy ending. One of the most beautiful things about recovery is that quite often, the lives get bigger and better than one could imagine, Baker said. She went on to say that it would be Christy’s experience.
