While many fans have expected that the fourth season of the show would wrap up the heist after the two seasons, that did not happen.

The last installment of the series ended on a huge cliffhanger, establishing a plotline for the upcoming season. Netflix had renewed the show for a fifth season back in June 2020. Money Heist Season 5: Has The Production Wrapped Up?
While we do not yet know when Money Heist Season would release, it looks like the release date is close. Recently, the lead actors of the series Álvaro Morte and Najwa Nimri, who play Professor and Alicia Sierra respectively, took on to Instagram to thank Netflix for all the hard work the streaming has put into part 5 of the series. They posted a story for this. They thanked Netflix’s team for their work on the marketing shoot for the new season.
This could, without fail, mean that either Netflix has started preparing for the promotions of the upcoming season in the upcoming weeks. This could also mean that there might be some exciting implications for the upcoming season. As soon as this story was posted, many fans started speculation that the filming for Money Heist Season 5 has come to an end in Madrid. So, an official announcement for the upcoming season might be on the day too.
When Would The Show Release?
The fourth season of the series released in April 2020, and if the production for Money Heist season 5 has wrapped up, we can expect to see Money Heist season 5 sometime in April 2020. With that said, we do not yet have any official news on this. So, we must wait for some official confirmation.
The show that was renewed in July 2020 started production in August 2020. So, if the show does take filming of about six months, everyone can hope that the creators will be done with the shoot by February 2021, if they haven’t finished it already. Then the show also needs some post-production editing and some VFX. This could push the release date a bit. Still being as optimistic as one can, we can expect to see additional episodes sometime in 2021.

We would be a lot closer to the release date than anyone would have thought. Another fan commented that the show does need some post-production, but they don’t need very long for that.
