My 600-Lb Life fame Michael Blair appeared on episode 9 of season 9. The man bravely shared his physical and emotional struggles during the episode. At the age of 43, Blair lived in Conroe, Texas, with his wife, Kimberly, and two sons. On the show, it was revealed that the weight was around 609 pounds. Food became his safe place, and whenever something wrong would happen to him, he would seek support from food.
When he visited Dr. Nowzaradan, he was struggling with his weight. But he was also working with critical agoraphobia, which led him to not step out of his home for years. On the show, he nearly lost 100 pounds. But have you thought where he is now and what the update is on his weight loss journey? Let’s dive into it. Keep reading to know further details.

My 600-Lb Life fans follow the show very closely and never miss any detail. A follower took to Reddit and posted about the possibly biggest theory related to the show. The user wrote that in an episode, a patient was abusing pain medication. And that is why she seemed high a lot in the follow-up episode. Reacting to it, a critic added that many people on the show are nominated by their family or separately recruited from Dr. Now’s actual medical practice.
That is why there are so many wild stories on the show. And it seems that Dr. Now doesn’t like it, but is locked into the contracts. So there isn’t much of a conspiracy, the user explained. Another fan commented that a few plus-size influencers have been up front about the show, attempting to recruit them. A follower commented on the thread and added that, “I strongly feel that Sean Milken had an intellectual disability and the man was never given the proper support and care he needed APS.”
Michael Blair appeared on season 9 of My 600-Lb Life. The man weighed 609 pounds at the time he entered the show. While he was honest about his struggles, the audience hoped that he could control his eating habits and not rely on food for any minor inconvenience in his life. But it wasn’t as simple as it looked. On the show, he lost nearly 150 pounds. He went to Dr. Nowzaradan in Houston, Texas.
He gave him a target of losing 100 pounds in three months to get a gastric sleeve procedure done. Unfortunately, he lost the target by a little margin. Later, when he lost 135 pounds, Dr agreed to an endoscopy. But the episode was left on a cliffhanger. The question is, did he change his habits and lifestyle after surgery? On April 16, 2025, TLC provided an update on Blair’s weight loss journey on the spin-off show “My 600-Lb Life: Where Are They Now?”
One year and one month later, he weighed 447 pounds, and soon after, Dr. Now approved him for weight loss surgery. Two years and three months further along in his journey, Michael reached his ideal weight, but unfortunately, he was unable to see Dr. Now due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Later, during his follow-up check-up, he weighed 271 pounds, and he then received approval for skin-removal surgery and a hernia repair.
Dr. Now has removed nearly 19 pounds of skin from Blair’s abdomen. Blair sometimes posts on his Instagram and keeps his fans updated about his progress. Last, he updated his fans about his journey on October 9, 2023. Sadly, he hasn’t posted any pictures since then, but hopefully, he is doing fine and achieving new goals in his life.
