Recently, the showrunner of Nancy Drew- Melinda Hsu Taylor, spoke about the structure the second season of the series would follow and how it would differ from the first season. The upcoming episode, The Drowned Woman, will be another chapter that takes the story of Nancy Drew further as she tries to stop Aglaeca from affecting her or her friends’ lives. The show sees Maddison Jaizani, Kenney McMann, Runji Kasim, Scott Wolf, Riley Smith, and Alex Saxon. Nancy Drew Season 2 Episode 5 will release this Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.

Nancy Drew Season 2 Episode 5: What Has Happened So Far?

The fourth and the latest episode of Nancy Drew gave all viewers context around the life of a woman who became Aglaeca and reveals that she was really just the first in the line of women whose lives were ruined by the men of Horseshoe Bay. In the episode, The Drew Crew decides that their best chance at stopping Aglaeca lies in the use of the dybbuk box. It is a box from the Jewish culture that is capable of trapping a spirit.

However, in order to use this, they had to find a meaningful thing from their target’s life and a token from how they died. Viewers know that Aglaeca was once Odette Lamar. Lamar was a rich French heiress who happened to be a businesswoman. The sea shanty had uncovered this, and they also came to know that she didn’t die tragically but was murdered, and her death was covered up so the greedy men could steal the fortune.

Was The Drew Crew Be Able To Reveal The Truth?

Nancy Drew was the one who stood up before the ghost for the woman who was brutally murdered. She still took the time to stand up for her memory as she highlighted the violence of what was done to her. That ultimately benefited the same town which is now ignoring her. It looks like the people of Horseshoe Bay embraced this story of Lucy Sable as a cautionary tale of unruly young women who were driven to death and not died accidentally.

Perhaps it looks like this is the only reason why Nancy was having a hard time believing that Agnes Marvin was crazy. She had a lot of evidence from the stories of many women and how their lives were twisted. So, by the end of the fourth episode, Nancy was able to track down the necklace. She not only proved that Odette Lamar was likely married to Douglas Martin, but she had letters. The clever was to reveal this twist; Agnes was quite clever as she was able to craft a cipher from the hymnal that she was allowed to keep with her and leave a trail of evidence so someone could figure out the message.

The next episode will release this Wednesday. So, don’t forget to watch it to know where this new episode takes us. We will keep you updated with all the news about the show as soon as it surfaces. So, you stay tuned.
