While Rick has a knack for spotting unusual finds, he’s not always willing to pay top dollar unless the item is what he considers a ‘holy grail.’ On the latest episode of Pawn Stars, Harrison stumbled upon one such artifact.

   

Harrison came across a framed document with signatures of John Hancock and Abel Boynton this time. They are two of the renowned names in the American Revolution. He refused to let it slide. Pawn Stars: Rick Harrison’s Bid For Steve McQueen’s Motorcycle

Pawn Stars fame Rick Harrison has recently lost another chance to own a 1940s Indian motorcycle once owned by Steve McQueen. Rick has always admired the bike. He shared his connection to the renowned actor Steve McQueen, whose daring stunts were featured in The Great Escape.

Rick reached out to seller Ed’s house and made an offer of $70,000, after stating the repair cost of the damage and the potential resale value. Ed initially asked for  $130,000 before settling at $100,000. Rick tried to increase his bid to $85,000, but Ed refused, citing sentimental value. Eventually, the deal fell through, and Rick lost another collectible item.

Pawn Stars star Rick Harrison again made the headlines as he acquired a historically significant document. The framed paper, signed by John Hancock and Abel Boynton, drew Harrison’s attention for its clear ties to the American Revolution. The celeb acknowledged the signature, which was also seen on the Declaration of Independence.

Rick admitted that missing it on a previous Hancock document which is why it is more appealing to secure it. Lisa explained that she had inherited this from her father, and she hoped to make some profit from it. She was open to negotiation once the authentication confirmed its rarity.

The expert, Dana from Early American History Auctions Inc., examined the document in detail. He noted the September 17, 1787, date and John Avery’s signature as secretary. It has its historical significance. Dana discussed Boynton’s role in facing British forces, and his services during the Revolutionary War were recognized, making it a remarkable collectible. 

Harrison offered $4,000, mentioning the costs and risks involved in auctioning the collectible. Lisa suggested $8,000, but after some negotiation, both parties agreed on $5,000. The deal eventually came through, and Rick acquired a valuable artifact while giving Lisa a fair return on her family heirloom.
