Prince William is about to get back into the royal swing of things very soon! The Prince of Wales will make his official comeback this Thursday, arriving in southwest London and Surrey County. Our beloved royal will emphasise the work of community and environmental organisations in the area. Before Kate’s cancer news hit, Will had called off several public engagements earlier. But now it’s about time to see him back undertaking the duties in style!
Prince William Gears Up For A Comeback!
Kensington Palace announced that Prince William will kickstart his duties on April 18 at Sunbury-on-Thames. He will monitor the work done by the food distribution charity Surplus to Supper. Moreover, the royal will dive into the process of how the food bank delivers, sorts, and repackages unused food. Later, he’ll visit a youth centre in West London, where the organisation dishes out regular food donations.
Additionally, Kensington Palace revealed that protecting the environment for future generations remains a top priority for Prince William. Back in 2020, the Prince launched The Earthshot Prize, which celebrates out-of-the-box ideas to rejuvenate the planet. Anyway, the royal hasn’t been totally MIA since his last official royal duty back in March. Folks caught him enjoying the soccer action with his son George last week.
Earlier, Kate shocked the nation with her health status, prompting Prince William to take a step back and lay low. In her video message, Kate gave props to Prince William for being a rock through it all. In addition, Kate hadn’t attended any royal shindig since Christmas. However, with the kids returning to school after their break, it’s time for William to get back to business.
As for Kate’s return, nothing’s been set in stone yet. In January, she took a hiatus from official duties for a planned surgery. Then, everyone expected her to come back after Easter but that didn’t happen. The Princess’s return is on hold until she gets the all-clear from her docs.
