The Prodigal Son Season 2 is just around the corner. With the release date so near, the creators have revealed new information on what’s coming up in the upcoming installment. From cast additions to the theme, there is a lot we know at this point.
Created by Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver, the show first premiered on September 23, 2019. Ever since the release, the show has been hit. So, we are all looking forward to Prodigal Season 2 and what’s coming in it. Here is everything to know about it-
Christian Borle And Michael Potts On-Board!
For Prodigal Son Season 2, Christian Borle and Michael Potts are all set to join the cast. Borle is coming in to play a character called Friar Pete. Pete is a former friar who is expelled from the church from his extremist views. The man is quite famous for the notorious killing spree that eventually landed him in the psychiatric ward along with Martin. Pete is a character who is a careful listener and offers help to other patients. He will also become a consultant in Bright’s latest case.
On the other hand, Potts will portray Dr. Brandon Marsh, who is Martin’s new therapist at Claremont. He is someone who desperately wanted to have a breakthrough with his psychiatric patients. Bellamy Young, Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau, Halston Sage, and Frank Harts will also star in the cast list.

Prodigal Son Season 2: What’s Happening Next?
Keeping in mind the synopsis, it looks like Malcolm will go to extremes and do everything he has to protect his sister and mother after everything that happened in the family. This means that he might even get closer to his father. But does that mean that things that Malcolm is already trying to avoid will get stirred up? This season’s tagline insists that the Killer instincts run in the family, and while it is obvious that there is a reference of Ainsley dropping her body, it would apply to Malcolm too?
Malcolm always seems to be someone who fights his basic instinct. But we are often unsure if it gets murderous for someone or not? He likes to dance on the line indeed. There is also the fact of what Martin projects onto Malcolm. In the key art, Malcolm looks pretty impeccable in all the white. He is seen resting in a pool of blood where we can see the reflection of his father. Either he is looking over him or right at him, depending on which key art one sees.
