She told her mom that she and her husband had been planning to pay Alana’s college fees. However, June repeated that same thing, that Alana had to get her sh*t together before leaving. But Pumpkin ignored June and told her that she wanted to check her on Alana’s Coogan account. She was referring to the type of accounts that help the child performers safe keep their money from their parents until they turn 18.
Lauryn snapped, “You’re not forking any money out, and her payments for college are due very soon.” June said that she knew and left her daughter speechless. Pumpkin asked again if she knew everything that they were running out of time and still not willing to help them. She informed her they would drop Honey Boo Boo to college and find her a home.
However, June decided to turn the tables as soon as the topic of finances came into the picture. She said, “If she can’t invest in herself, then why should I?” Pumpkin wanted her mom to support Alana during her crucial decision because she was her family.
