RHOBH: Kyle Richards Husband Mauricio Umansky Fights $35 Million Lawsuit!

BRAVO TV: KYLE RICHARDS & MAURICIO UNMASKY

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills cast members stay in the news for something or the other. If not the main housewives, their husband’s lawsuits and cases surely make it to channels. Earlier this year, the state accused the RHOBH celeb Erika Jayne and her husband, Tom Girardi, of blinding the tax channel. The former couple has been under great scrutiny and trouble since the case landed. This time, it is Kyle Richards’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, who has been a part of a long legal battle. Mauricio is the founder and CEO of The Agency, a real estate company. However, another buyer and realtor accused Umansky of duping him and are fighting a legal battle now.

RHOBH: Mauricio Umansky Fights Fraud Lawsuit Of $35 Million!

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills husband sold a mansion in Malibu for $32.5 million back in December 2015. Years later, Mauricio has been accused of defrauding a potential buyer and remains in a legal battle. The Los Angeles Times revealed on December 2015 that the government had taken ownership of the property. Later, the government put it up for sale with Umansky’s help in May 2015, and he ignored a prospective buyer’s offer. Sam Hakim had an eye on the property for a long time through his broker Aitan Segal.

However, Umansky did not take up their offer and instead considered Oberfled’s offer. Reportedly, the RHOBH star Mauricio and Oberfled had been working together when he tried to buy the property. This instigated broker Aitan to file a lawsuit against Umansky. It should be noted that the property was whopped to a rate of $69.9 million in December 2017. Sam and Aitan also knew Umansky before the sale happened and trusted him with allowing them to buy it. However, things turned the other way around, and they could not lay their hands on it.

Hence, Sam and Aitan believe that Umansky violated them and seeks at least $35 million in damages for the lawsuit against him. The property had been in several hands before the government decided to buy it. Karen Rabe, whose family owns a production company, previously held the mansion. Later, it was sold to a wealthy African government official, Teodoro Mangue. After that, he was caught in a money laundering case and sold everything for a fair share, including the Malibu mansion, for $32 million. The government settled it with Umansky and promised a six percent commission and the ability to represent any buyer.

RHOBH: The Allegations Are All False, States Mauricio Umansky

Reports claim that Oberfled was able to nab the property for $33.5 million due to his ‘friendship’ with Mauricio Umansky. Additionally, Umansky offered a statement to The Times regarding the ongoing case. He stated that with the Agency’s rapid growth and the launch of recent Netflix series, he has much to be grateful for. The RHOBH personality believes that people are trying to diminish his success by putting up his bad name in an old transaction that closed way back. Moreover, he refused to comment on the litigations and stated that the allegations were false. The realtor concluded by saying he would win the case and surely prevail.

Sam’s attorney does not also fail to comment on the prevailing case. Jennifer Shakouri and Alan Hearty were fighting his case and spoke about the topic to The Times. They stated they had litigated several real estate misconduct cases, even the ultra-luxury and big-profile ones. However, the attorneys have never encountered such a unique and egregious case involving Mauricio Umansky. What are your views on how the case is going to unfold?
