Hence, the nation was in shock when viewers found out about their sad demise. As the celebrity hailed from Liverpool, people gathered infront of St. George’s Hall to remember her.
Sahir House, a charity for Liverpool’s LGBTQ+ community, decided to pay tribute to the icon in a special manner. In organization with The Vigil, their building lit up in green color. It was to pay tribute to The Vivienne for her role in The Wizard Of Oz. People united and held their phone torches as “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” played.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Star The Vivienne’s Death Inquest Opens Today! Found Unconscious On The Bathroom Floor
Longtime viewers of RuPaul’s Drag Race must know that The Vivienne was merely 32 at the time of their demise. They passed away on January 5, 2025. The inquest for the same has opened today. However, people still don’t know the cause of their death. Reports say that Vivienne, aka James’s family members, including her mother and stepdad, found their bodies.

The Drag Race star was in the bathroom when the unfortunate incident happened. Following the report of this demise, James’s family had to go to an address in Chorlton-by-Backford, near Chester, at 12:22 pm. As per their dad, they must have needed to find their body 1-2 days after their demise. Hence, the family has requested some privacy during these tough times.
The Vivienne had a lot going on for herself. She had to move into a house worth £400,000 only a week later. Apart from having a holiday lineup, they had even planned a tour. As of now, the inquest has been opened and adjourned at Cheshire Coroner’s Court in Warrington. So, after the post-mortem testing, they identified the death cause to be “unnatural.”
