Garrison Brown from Sister was an animal lover. He even rescued and adopted his three beloved cats, Catthew, Patches, and Ms. Buttons, from High Country’s Humane Animal Shelter in Arizona. After his death, the animal center honored his name by adopting his beloved cats. They still look after them and ensure that the cats get all the love and cuddles they deserve. In the recent Sister Wives episode, Janelle and her youngest daughter, Savanah, visited the animal shelter.
The animal shelter is located in Flagstaff, and Garrison has several fond memories from there. The entire Brown family loves animals, but Garrison’s passion for his cats is no secret. He not only adopted them but also treated them like a real father. Unfortunately, after Garrison’s death, everything went for a toss. It has been over a year since Garrison passed away, and to date, the circumstances of his passing remain a mystery. Janelle revealed that Garrison struggled with alcohol issues. The Sister Wives star further explained that she didn’t know what exactly happened that night.
Janelle added that he would usually drink and then pass out. He would maintain radio silence and would not talk to anyone. But the next day, he would be back to his usual self. She further explained emotionally, “I don’t know. I don’t know what happened this time.” Our hearts go out to all those who are battling similar struggles.
Sister Wives: Animal Shelter Saves & Breeds Animals In Garrison Brown’s Honor!
Almost a year ago, in May 2024, Garrison Brown took his own life. The lively boy shot himself with his revolver in his own house. His brother Gabriel found his dead body and rushed him to the hospital. However, they could not save his life. After the unfortunate incident, the entire Brown family, especially Janelle, was traumatized. Recently, in the Sister Wives episode, Garrison’s mother, Janelle, and his youngest sister, Savanah, visited the animal rescue center.
Garrison had three cats, and he loved them all. After his death, the shelter decided to take care of the cats. In the video, we saw that the shelter has an area named after Garrison. Janelle was very pleased to see a place with her son’s name and photo. It consisted of a picture of Garrison holding the cat and smiling broadly. In this room, the potential adopters meet and play with the cats.
The shelter staff revealed that they hoped the plaque showed how grateful they were for donations in Garrison’s name. Since his passing, they have raised over $25,000 for the High Country Humane Society for cats. So, it was only fair that they named the room after him. This was their way of honoring Garrison and his legacy. He adopted all his three cats from this very shelter.
Janelle was very touched by their gesture and emotionally said that if Garrison had been alive today, he would have been very happy. His cats were his grounding factor, and he loved them a lot.
