Sister Wives’ recent episode was nerve-wracking and emotional. The entire Brown family was grieving and mourning Garrison’s death, and they expressed the loss in different ways. On one hand, Janelle was emotional, and even Kody was in tears as he talked about his son. Gabriel was constantly trying to support his mom and hugged her tightly. It was an emotional rollercoaster experience for the viewers. However, one thing definitely bothered everyone.
While talking about his son, Kody revealed that he wanted to do his best to pay his last tribute to Garrison. He regretted how things ended with him and wanted to make amends. So he decided to dig Garrison’s grave. He even got permission from the cemetery to do what was needed. While some found it an extremely thoughtful gesture, others did not like it and called it highly inappropriate.

Kody has always been a controversial figure. Even in the recent Sister Wives episode, while he was grieving about his son’s death, he decided that he wanted to remember Garrison in a special way. So he decided that he would dig Garrison’s grave. This came as a shock to many. While some fans liked it, others were against it. A fan wrote, “This entire grave digging is so inappropriate.” While another added that it was not normal.
A third person commented, “Given the fact that if he had responded to Garrison, he probably wouldn’t have died, it’s even worse.” They further added, “His actions killed his son, and now he’s literally digging the grave.” Many found his gesture thoughtful and added that maybe digging the grave was also his attempt to bury his regrets.
Sister Wives: Kody Took Permission To Dig Garrison’s Grave!
Kody has recently been overwhelmed with emotions. He decided to dig his son’s grave because that would help him deal with his feelings. So he took the sexton’s permission, as he is the one who usually digs graves in the Cemetery. In the Sister Wives episode, fans saw him arrive at the grave site, and he talked about the permission and the other formalities.
He doesn’t really know why, but it feels like a different kind of emotional moment for him. Along with him, his brother and his brother-in-law were also present. Kody did not bring the urn in which the ashes will be placed. He explained that his daughter, Aspen, and her husband, Mitch, are making something different for Garrison.
As of now, he has not yet seen what it looks like, so he has to dig based on his ideas. He further added that he is digging for the act of an effort. The grave will be big enough for a coffin. He also thought that he would make it a little bigger, just in case. He further explained that he wants to experience the effort of doing something for his son.
Kody just wants to honor his son as best as he can. He doesn’t even know if it’s honoring or mourning at this point. Garrison passed away a year ago, and he is being buried near his family members in Cody, Wyoming. He will be next to his grandma, Cheryl. She nurtured Garrison as much as any of the family members.
