Fans of Sister Wives are used to getting updates from the Brown family members about their daily lives. Janelle often shares how she is living after her separation from Kody. She gave another update to her fans on social media, only this time it was not about any of her former plural family members. It was about her self-dubbed “fifth wheel”. Although the RV has been missing from the picture for a while, Janelle revealed to everyone’s surprise that it’s coming back.
The RV was not in working condition when it arrived. The reality star has given frequent updates from time-to-time, and just a day ago, she gave her final update on the status of the RV. What exactly did Janelle accomplish, and why does this update feel so meaningful right now? Is this just a practical move, or does it signal something bigger for her future? Keep reading to know more.

Janelle’s connection to RV living has gone back for several years. When the Brown family relocated from Las Vegas to Flagstaff in 2018, they planned to build on the Coyote Pass property. However, delays and rising construction costs forced the family to think about their living arrangements again. Initially, Janelle rented a home, but that option ended when the property was sold.
Because of fewer rental options and the housing market, she made a bold decision to purchase an RV and live on the land. At the time, Janelle said that the choice was practical, and she felt free to make that decision. Still, the lifestyle was tough, and her daughter, Savannah, couldn’t adjust to that. In 2021, Janelle moved out of the RV, and that was the last time fans heard about the vehicle. Now, Janelle has relocated to North Carolina, and the RV has made a comeback.
Just a day ago, Janelle shared an update that quickly grabbed fans’ attention. She posted a photo of her fifth wheel. Janelle announced that after several days of not being able to start her RV, she finally had everything squared away. The post alone got over 10,000 likes in just 16 hours. In a video that was in the same post, Janelle explained that the process was not as simple. She admitted it took her multiple tries and multiple steps.
She had to relearn how to level the trailer so that she could resolve battery and power issues. Although there were moments of frustration, she decided to go through with it once and for all. Janelle gave credit to ChatGPT and her sons, Gabe and Caleb. Janelle emphasized how proud she felt after finishing the work herself. She explained that her first instinct was to ask for help.
She did ask for help, but completing the build on her own reminded her of skills she once used regularly. The reality star proudly announced that the RV is now fully functional and ready for her future plans. Janelle shared that the fifth wheel could serve multiple purposes. She hopes to take it out once homes are built and even use it as guest housing at the family farm. For the latest Sister Wives tea, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
