People speculated that the authorities might arrest him for practicing polygamy, which was illegal in Utah at the time. Kody got so scared that he decided to leave Utah in the middle of the night to avoid getting arrested. However, there are now certain rumors that suggest that he is on the list of wanted criminals.

In a recent Tell-All, Kody Brown told host Sukanya Krishnan that he has permanently ended his involvement with polygamy. She asked him if he’d remarry or expand the family. Kody added that as of now, it’s off the table. He admitted the plural marriage dynamic failed, and both he and Robyn are heartbroken over it.
Robyn, too, seemed hesitant about the idea. She said she’d only consider it if Kody was entirely on board and gave her a solid guarantee, but right now, he’s not. She even joked that only a sign from God could convince her to enter another plural marriage.

Kody Brown has been a loud and proud polygamy practitioner. He has had four wives for almost three decades. He first married Meri in the 90s and, in the same decade, tied the knot with Janelle and Christine. Kody married Robyn in 2010. Kody and his wives started the TLC reality show in hopes of normalizing polygamy and spreading the word among the masses.
However, it seems like Kody is now in some legal trouble. A report from E! suggests that Kody had a run-in with the police and was almost imprisoned. Furthermore, a clip has also been going viral in which his fourth wife, Robyn, talks about her husband’s run-in with the law. The court sentenced Kody to prison for practicing his religion and polygamy, leaving the entire Brown family stressed. In the video, Robyn even added that the state of Utah was threatening prosecution because of their polygamous and rural family practices.
This is why they moved to another state. However, this incident dates back more than a decade. In 2016, the Lehi Police Department investigated Kody and his family. At the time, the authorities did not imprison them, but now things seem to be going downhill. Certain reports are going around that suggest that Kody is a wanted criminal.
Well, while a lot of us may hate, we all know that he has not committed a legal offense. The reports going around about him being a criminal are not true. Those are fake videos and reports, and Kody is safe and sound in his home. He did not have any legal troubles either in Utah or in any other state.
