Sister Wives: Kody & Meri Do Not Communicate, Marriage Began To ‘Dissolve’ In 2015

TLC: MERI & KODY BROWN

Things between Meri and Kody Brown are almost ending. The Sister Wives patriarch does not communicate with his first bride anymore. Well, their problems are known to everyone for a long time. They’ve even gone through couple’s therapy in the last few years. Yet, that doesn’t seem to have worked for either of them. The COVID-19 pandemic has made the situation even harder for the two. However, they know that their marriage started to dissolve back in 2015 after Meri’s catfish incident. Here’s everything you need to know about this.

Sister Wives: Kody And Meri Do Not Communicate Anymore

In the recent episodes of Sister Wives, we’ve seen the Brown family struggle to stay connected as the Coronavirus pandemic hit. We’ve previously heard Meri say that Kody doesn’t come to see her anymore and is just going between Janelle, Christine, and Robyn. Well, the distance seems to be increasing between the two of them. Meri pointed out that her shared husband only visits her when their daughter Mariah is in town. She expressed feeling lonely during that time.

However, in recent events, when Kody went to Meri’s house to meet their daughter, he got to know that she had already left. Us Weekly points out that Meri didn’t inform her polygamist husband ahead of time that Mariah wasn’t home anymore. To this, the first wife replied that she and Kody don’t talk. The couple does not communicate with each other anymore. This suggests that aside from not having a romantic relationship, Kody and Meri do not even talk to each other about basic things.

The Brown family was discussing the situation if any one of them gets sick. They had different opinions about whether Kody should be taking care of any of his ill wives or not. To this, Meri replied that she just knows that she’ll be a home-alone sick person. She’d have no one to take care of her, and fans weren’t happy to hear this. On the other hand, the latest episode featured Kody saying that he needs to maintain social distance with Meri. The first wife wasn’t really fine with her husband’s argument. Moreover, she emphasized that she’s still a member of his family. As things get heated up, Meri asks Kody to stay away from her. However, Kody chooses to bring their past into this conversation.

Sister Wives: After 2015 Catfish Scandal, Kody And Meri’s Marriage Began To ‘Dissolve’

In the last argument they had, Kody taunts Meri about her 2015 catfish scandal. In his confessional, the Sister Wives patriarch talks about how his first bride asked him to stop staying at her house when she was being catfished. He mentions that this was the time when their marriage started to dissolve. Later on, Meri talked about the five-year-old incident and said that Kody was more distant from her than she wanted. He was cold towards her, and it was getting hard for her to manage the situation.

Hence, she decided to take a small break and asked the polygamist not to stay at her place for a while. However, it turns out Kody took her words more negatively and totally distanced himself from Meri since then. He assumed that his first wife had asked him to go away and never come back. Meri insists that even though things did not work out well, this was not what she meant back in 2015. Since that scandal, the couple accepts that they “never came back together”. They’ve also “quit dating” and do not have any “romantic inclinations” within their relationship.
