Meri revealed in a sneak peek for Sunday’s episode that her husband and her co-spouses have created a household where kids can be whoever they want as reported by People. Combined, the Brown family has 18 kids. On a recent visit to flagstaff Arizona, Meri’s only daughter Mariah revealed that she is going to move to Utah with her fiance Audrey.

They are moving from Chicago to be closer to the family. Meri loves the fact that her daughter and her fiance got to live the experience of residing in Chicago. She described it as different and fun, stating that it wasn’t something she was able to do.

Meri’s family had a Polygamist culture. But her folks were a little more orthodox and expected their kids to get married at a young age. She added that they needed to have kids and stay mum about who they were. All in all, according to Meri, her parents expected her to live in a little box.

Of course, we can see that Mariah is doing the same and Meri is proud of her.

When Mariah was coming out to her family, she felt like jumping off a cliff. If she didn’t jump then and there, she wasn’t going to jump at all. But even though the Mormon faith of the Brown family doesn’t accept homosexuality, all five parents embraced Mariah. It came as quite a shock to fans as well!
