The Sister Wives Tell-All has been going on for a few weeks now. Many cast members and former family members have accused Robyn of manipulating Kody to get what she wants. This was evident in the backdoor deal that was about to take place between Kody and Janelle. According to Janelle, Kody said that Robyn didn’t want to contact Meri because she was shy. When Kody later blamed Janelle for trying to make the deal, Janelle didn’t like it.
She said that Robyn would initiate a conversation, then often make excuses like she was shy, pinning the blame on someone else. Later, Kody made it clear that he didn’t agree that Robyn avoided situations because she was “shy.” He also addressed claims that Robyn controlled or brainwashed him. Kody insisted their relationship works as a partnership. He stated that neither of them pulls the strings and that they regularly negotiate decisions together.
During the recent Sister Wives Tell-All, Robyn became emotional when the talk of the backdoor deal came up. She started thinking about a moment from her past. Robyn explained that she was really nervous when Meri handed over the legal marriage certificate so Robyn could legally marry Kody. At the time, Robyn was worried about how she would remain stable as she already had kids from a past marriage.
Robyn said her main issue was finding someone who would care for her and her kids. According to Robyn, she made Kody promise that if she ever wanted to leave, he would let her go without stopping her. She recalled him saying that he would buy a house down the street for any wife who chose to leave, along with their children. Robyn added that Kody also promised to be friendly with his ex-wife and even her future partner.
She said that the promise was the reason she decided to go ahead with the marriage. Years later, Robyn connected that promise to the family’s Coyote Pass conflict. When Kody and Janelle discussed a backdoor deal that excluded Meri, Robyn said she didn’t like it. She reminded Kody of his words and told him she no longer recognized the man he had become. Soon after, Kody abandoned the deal, and everyone got their share as promised. For the latest Sister Wives, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
