Sister Wives has been going on for almost two decades now. If the show is renewed for another season, this will mark season 20. Over the years, we have seen how Kody has taken the role of the villain alongside his fourth wife, Robyn. So, is there a chance for him to salvage his image? Kody was never a fan favorite, but in recent years, his image has gone further down. It all started spiraling after his ex-wives started speaking up against him.
It all went out after the pandemic when Christine announced that she wanted to separate from Kody. Soon after, Janelle and Meri also ended their marriage, and now Kody and Robyn are in monogamy. Many feel that if Robyn is no longer part of the show, then maybe Kody will have a change of heart. It stems from the fact that Kody’s character massively changed to the negative side after he married Robyn. So, maybe her exit will help.
Sister Wives: Janelle Reveals Kody Became A Villain To Protect Robyn!
In the recent Tell-All episode with Suki Krishnan, Janelle said she feels like Kody made himself look bad to protect Robyn. She further elaborated that Kody villainized himself in order to save her image. Initially, Kody was never this mean to them, but after Robyn came, everything changed.
She feels like Kody purposely did that to have the focus on himself. He wanted to be the center of attention in the show. Janelle further added that initially, even Robin was interested in polygamy and what the family was trying to build. However, as time went by, they distanced themselves from the family and created their own world.
Sister Wives: Will Kody Salvage His Reputation If Robyn Leaves The Show?
It’s no secret that Kody doesn’t have the best reputation among the viewers of Sister Wives. Furthermore, Robyn has often been viewed as the catalyst for the family’s downfall. Many blame her for everything that went wrong in the Brown family, including Kody’s distance from his kids. Kody shared that he has a divine connection with Robyn, and they both share a higher love that he could not achieve with his other wives.
If we look at the present scenario, Kody has a bad reputation in the industry, and so does Robyn. However, there is still a chance that Kody can save his image, but for that, Robyn will have to take a step back. In Tell-All, we can clearly see that the ex-wives still have a soft corner for Kody but none for Robyn.
Meri was previously Robyn’s friend, but now, even she thinks that the latter is a manipulator. Furthermore, Kody is trying to build a relationship with his grandkids and his own children. He was excited that his daughter, Aspen, had talked to him, and they had a productive conversation. All this while, it was only possible for him to bond with his kids because Robyn was not present.
Robyn wasn’t even supportive of Kody trying to have a relationship with his kids. The diva is also not very fond of shooting, so it will be fine if she takes a break and spends time with her own kids.
