Kody was hurt after his three wives left him on Sister Wives. Things got so bad that, at one point, he decided that he wanted to leave Robyn as well. He explained that he felt like polygamy slapped him in the face, and he got into a dark phase.
He shared that he was bitter about all his wives leaving him. Kody even wanted to leave Robyn as she was suffering and had distanced herself. However, he is now happy and wants to be in a monogamous relationship with her. Kody clarified that he will not remarry.

The reality star was so enamored by his fourth wife that he prioritized her needs. In a way, they were in a monogamous relationship, despite being in a polygamous marriage. He further added, “I was a total success, I had a Diesel Jeans model coming into my family in 2010.”
Talking about Robyn’s modeling career, Janelle shared that Kody was excited to marry Robyn because he thought she was a model. When he first met her, he came back and said that Robyn was a Diesel jeans model and that she was everything that he wanted. She sarcastically replied, “Wow, that’s rich, dude.” However, Kody did not understand the mockery. Furthermore, Janelle added that he kept Robyn on a pedestal while they all struggled.
There were days when they did not have money and had to go without food. Janelle had to use diaper pins to keep her tattered bra together. On the other hand, Kody used to mistreat them.
