Kathryn Dennis from Southern Charm has stepped out for the first time in a while. The diva has completely stopped making public appearances after her infamous hit-and-run case. The former reality star looked unrecognizable, leaving fans confused to see her in an all-new avatar.
Kathryn Dennis shared her last Instagram post on June 2024. Ever since, she has been under the radar. She also avoids leaving her home and rarely gets photographed. This time around, we spotted her in the Starbucks drive-through as she picked up her coffee order. The diva looked unrecognizable. We have always seen her glammed up and at her best, but this time, she was different and somber.
Southern Charm: Kathryn Dennis Is Gradually Improving After Losing Her Kids’ Custody
Kathryn Dennis lost her kids, Kensie and Saint’s custody, to her ex-boyfriend in February 2023. It was because of her multiple legal cases and irresponsible nature. She was also allegedly using drugs. The Southern Charm star was initially struggling to attend supervised visitations from 9-4:30 every Saturday, but with time, it’s getting better.
Kathryn is gradually trying to come to the sessions on time. However, she is still late but is better than before. If she buckled up, she will get back the custody of her kids. She also has not paid the supervisor fees. She FaceTimes twice a week for about 15 minutes.

Kathryn’s life hasn’t been easy for the past couple of years. First, someone accused her of a hit-and-run incident in October 2023 in front of a school. The Southern Charm star allegedly hit a person and did not even stop but ran away from the place. Later, in May 2024, authorities accused Kathryn of driving under the influence.
As per Goose Creek Municipal Court, Kathryn has outstanding fines of $1,199.50 for the driving under the influence charge and $257.50 for transporting alcohol in a motor vehicle with a broken seal. After the cases, the show fired her, and her life changed. After a long gap, fans finally got to see her. The U.S. Sun captured her on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was at Starbucks’ drive-through when she picked up her two coffee orders.
Kathryn was in the driving seat and had her hair down in loose waves. She did not put on makeup and looked very different from her usual glam appearance. She wore a headband to keep her hair out of her face. After she picked up her order, she smiled at the workers and left. She was in good spirits and looked calm. She was kind of disheveled for the errand run and was in a casual attire.
As per The U.S. Sun, Kathryn drove back to her home and never stepped outside again that day. They further added that this was the first time she had ventured out of the house all weekend.
