Stargirl Season 2: The first season of Stargirl was released in May 2020, and ever since the show was released, all fans of the show have been eager to know if Stargirl Season 2 would happen. It had thirteen episodes. The first season starts on the timeline of a decade after the Justice Society of America was killed in a battle against the Injustice Society of America.
During Christmas time, a high school student, Courtney Whitmore discovers the comic staff of Starman. After learning that her step-father Pat Dugan was a starman sidekick, he would be a whole inspiration for the new league of superheroes.
The first season ended with a number of the open-ended storyline, and we are all hoping that Stargirl Season 2 would come in to complete the stories. Stargirl Season 2: Recap & Plot Details For The Upcoming Installment
The first season of Stargirl ended with opening up a number of storylines for the future seasons. By the end of the season, the injustice society was defeated. Courtney Whitmore’s biggest challenge might be helping her teammates and keeping it all together because of their traumas.
By the end, the new Hourman, Rick Tyler, had accepted his parents’ death and made peace with it. Yolonda Montez, the new wildcat, seems to be divulging deeper into herself after she killed Brainwave. Perhaps, the most troubled character is Beth Chapel, who had lost her best friend. That was her main motive of contributing to the team with the destruction of the goggles and the onboard AI “Chuck.”
Now the fate of Injustice Society is quite uncertain. Most of the team died in the battle with Stargirl and the allies. The Gambler, however, had escaped. It is quite unclear, though, if Tigress or Sportsmaster escaped or not. With their lives in front of Dragon King’s mind control device was blown up. Shiv, however, had escaped and had armed herself with the Eclipso diamond. Eclipso diamond was an artifact with great power in the comics. It looks like Shiv will try and made her own Injustice Society with the other surviving children of the original society.
The finale episode also introduced a wild card in the form of The Shade. Viewers saw Shade watching the news of Injustice Society’s defeat, saying, “Oh, Jordon. I told it to you as Folly” to himself. While he isn’t the hero, it looks like he would serve as the mentor role to the Starman- Jack Knight. He starred in the 1994 Starman comic series. As for the second season, this fallout will be the start of Stargirl Season 2.
When Will The Show Return?
Like all the other productions, CW’s production was also affected by you know who. This pushed all of their production and the airdates. Earlier in 2020, the network announced that their usual “fall” season was pushed and delayed to January 2021. This pushed the “midseason” airing to spring/summer of 2021.
Since Stargirl Season 2 wasn’t a part of the January schedule, it is likely that the series will be part of the spring/summer schedule, just like the first season. If the creators begin filming soon this year, it is possible that we might get to see the show in the second half of 2021. However, when Stargirl season 2 happens, the show will not release on the DC Universe. The show will exclusively air on CW.
