The beginning of another season of Suddenly Amish is turning quite dramatic. The community makes a bold decision and removes Matt from the group, deciding his past does not align with their values. They then escort him off the property.
Suddenly Amish previously showcased how hard the rules are. The six cast members went through a rigorous luggage check, so no one could sneak anything illegal inside. With such strict rules, what did Matt do that led to his eviction? How did others react to it? Keep reading for the full scoop.
Each cast member had their own reasons for joining the Amish life. However, their understanding of how tough life could be was far from the reality of Suddenly Amish life. Ever since their arrival in the Lancaster community, they have faced the tough rules. They lost their colorful or “flashy” clothes before entering. On their first night, they realized this Amish life would not be too easy. They faced difficulty sleeping without an air conditioner. Billie Joe claimed she struggled the most because of her physique.
Additionally, the bathroom is in an outpost, and they had to leave their “toys” away before entering, which meant no “me time” after a stressful day. Moreover, the Amish woke up at 4 and started doing their chores, and the cast members did the same. Slowly, the cast members are realizing that living without electricity, modern amenities, and worldly pleasures isn’t that easy. The real question is: how long will they last?
In a recent sneak peek, Amish member David escorted Matt off the property. Suddenly Amish star Matt was one of the cast members who left his life behind to join the Amish community. In the sneak peek, David escorted Matt away from the farm, while the other cast members looked worried. Just one moment, everyone gathered in a circle, indulging in conversations, and the next moment, one member is evicted.
David explained that Matt’s divorce was the reason for his departure from the farm. In the Amish church, he cannot remarry after a divorce, so he won’t be of any use to the community. Matt’s divorce was unacceptable, leading to excommunication and shunning. James was strict with the rule and escorted him off the property.
Matt’s eviction hit the other cast members hard. Kendra said in a confessional that the cast gave up a lot to be part of the community. They started a new family on the farm, but now they have lost one of their family members. Matt’s departure surprised Judah. He thought it was “f%^&d up” for James to kick Matt out like that. He was also scared that his secrets would come out, so he decided to keep them to himself.
Fans think James was annoying. “Didn’t James show his secret phone that he’s hidden in the fields in the first episode? He needs to calm down.” Others believed Matt should have done his research before giving up his life and joining the Amish. For more Suddenly Amish updates, follow TV Season & Spoilers.
