Teen Mom: Amber Will Talk More About Her Sexuality In Her Upcoming Memoir!
After her reveal, Amber mentioned that she would be talking about many difficult things in her upcoming memoir, including her sexuality. It is still in the works. The mother of two also revealed that she was in a relationship with a woman for almost eight months. However, it happened during her 20s. Amber expressed that she feels ‘scared’ about making her secret public in the book.
Before this, Amber had released another memoir called ‘Never Too Late.’ It dealt with her struggles with addiction and damaged relationships with people around her. She published it after her time in prison. The Teen Mom star described it as PG-13 compared to the fans’ expectations in the latest book. This is because it will have some “real sh*t.”
She also talked about her ex Gary Shirley and revealed his reaction to the matter. Despite knowing about her truth, he is not comfortable with Amber making it public. He is of the view that it can be bad for their daughter Leah. “This is just another embarrassment to (him),” said Amber as she continued that Gary doesn’t support the idea of therapy helping her strengthen the bond with their daughter as well.

While talking to her producer, the Teen Mon celebrity further spoke about why she plans to make her sexuality public. She mentioned her kids Leah and James and how she doesn’t want them to think it is something terrible. Amber doesn’t want them to look at the people identifying as LGBTQ+ differently. Otherwise, she was planning to take her secret “to the grave.” Amber also called her mother to give the news. Her mom, Tonya was highly supportive and also expressed how she thinks Leah will react to it, “I think (Leah) can handle it.” She added, “I think she will be OK with you.” Then, addressing Amber again, she said, “You’re my baby regardless. I love you, baby.”
Fans have been skeptical about this reveal and speculate that Amber probably has a girlfriend that will be introduced in the upcoming episodes. In 2012-13, the rumor mills had kicked into high gear owing to Amber’s sexuality. It was because a relationship was hinted between Amber and a cellmate during her time in prison.
