Teen Mom star Ashley Jones has had a rough life for the past couple of years. Not only did her marriage with Bar hit rock bottom, but he also kidnapped her. It was a traumatic experience when Bar held her hostage and asked her to take him to her new boyfriend. Even when the police came, he was not willing to let her go. After the incident, Bar was arrested and sent to jail.
He recently came out after serving his sentence. Bar still has a long list of rules to follow, including not going near Ashley. However, the couple shares a daughter, Holly, so it’s not possible for them to ignore each other. Even when Bar was in jail, Ashley organized video calls with Holly so that she could meet and talk to her dad. Now that he is finally out of his sentence, they are fighting the custody battle.
Teen Mom: Bar Smith Looks Visibly Different After Coming Out of Jail!
Bar Smith from Teen Mom spent a good part of his year in prison for kidnapping Ashley. He recently came out and shared a photo online. He looks very different than what he used to before his arrest. Bar has visibly gained weight. He added that he had gained about 40 pounds.
Moreover, his eyes looked dull and gloomy. They have lost their charm and spark. Bar previously had a defined jawline, but now it looked less defined. He also had grown facial hair and a beard. He looked rugged. His fans could see the difference. Sharing a photo, Bar in the caption, “Threw on a lil 40 pounds, 200 coming soon though.”

Ashley Jones and Bar Smith recently legally parted ways. Bar was in jail for almost a year, and soon after his release, the ex-couple started sorting out their legal separation procedures. First, they finalized their divorce. This news came only a few weeks after Bar’s release. And now, there are major updates about their custody battle. Bar and Ashley share a daughter, Holly.
Furthermore, only Ashley and her advocate were present during Wednesday’s hearing. The Teen Mom star filed for divorce in August of 2024 after Bar held her hostage. She stated that she is a victim of domestic violence and kidnapping. Moreover, Bar has allegedly hit her even in the past. Their divorce petition was dismissed earlier as they did not appear for the hearing. This time, Ashley came, and the judge noticed that the bar did not come even when Ashley informed him about it.
Furthermore, Ashely revealed that she made arrangements for Bar to contact Holly twice daily on the parenting app. However, he couldn’t even do that. He last met her in November. After going through all the details, the judge gave Ashley sole physical custody of Holly. Furthermore, Bar will have to pay Ashley child support of $100 per month starting from April.
The Teen Mom star will pay for Holly’s health insurance and claim Holly on her taxes, and the pair will discuss parenting through the parenting app. Ashley asked the judge how she would work out the arrangements with Bar, as he is on probation in California and Nevada.
