There is never a dull moment in the lives of Teen Mom stars, from Amber Portwood to Jenelle Evans, and now Bar Smith. The latter was previously in prison, but it seems like he’s back in trouble. Authorities have issued a warrant against him again because he is not complying with the terms of his probation. He was recently released from prison under probation conditions, but things are going downhill again.
Smith was previously arrested for kidnapping and holding his ex-partner, Ashley, hostage. The court found him guilty; additionally, he had a few more charges from the past. So, the court added it all to his sentence. He left a California prison after spending months in lockup. He was free for a while, but it seems like he’s once again on the wrong side of the law. Bar Smith has a history of getting into trouble with the law, and it looks like he won’t be learning his lesson anytime soon.

Teen Mom: Bar Smith Looks Unrecognizable After Gaining 40 Pounds in Jail
Teen Mom star Bar Smith looked noticeably different after his release from a California jail on March 14, 2025, as reported by The Sun. His photos quickly surfaced online, showing him standing in a black T-shirt and trousers in a parking lot. He was directly facing the camera.
Fans immediately noticed the changes in Bar Smith. He had gained weight, and his jawline was less defined. Moreover, he now sported rugged facial hair and a beard. His eyes looked dull and tired. Bar also accepted that he had gained weight. He added, “Threw on a lil 40 pounds, 200 coming soon though.”
Teen Mom: Bar Smith Is Again In Legal Trouble!
Bar is in legal trouble again. At this point, he might just be the favorite child of chaos. Nothing else explains why he’s back on the wrong side of the law just months after his prison release. He walked out of a California prison in March 2025, and now he’s on the wanted list. Currently, there’s a warrant out for his arrest in Nevada.

According to reports from The Ashley, Jones’ baby daddy was sentenced to six months in jail and one year of informal probation as part of a plea deal. He accepted all charges and pleaded nolo contendere to a misdemeanor charge of “battery constituting domestic violence.” Additional felony charges related to his July 2024 arrest were also included.
Back then, he allegedly held his then-partner, Ashley, hostage in her Las Vegas apartment. His probation terms required him to avoid new charges and maintain no contact with Ashley. Additionally, he needed to attend parenting classes, undergo a substance abuse evaluation, and receive therapy. However, Bar failed to follow through on parenting classes and therapy. He has not provided any evidence of personal growth.
Bar also missed a probation status check hearing on May 29. He was in California and failed to appear, with his lawyer claiming technical issues logging into Zoom. He couldn’t produce proof of class attendance, and he has not paid his fines or appeared in Nevada custody. Keep coming back to TV Season & Spoilers for the latest Teen Mom tea.
