Teen Mom: What Is Baby Maya Going Through?
The amazing Teen Mom duo Cory and Taylor grew closer on the sets of “Are you the one?” In 2019, Cory revealed that he is in a serious relationship with Taylor. And within the time frame, the couple welcomed their first baby on April 22, 2020. And in 2022, the couple got pregnant again and were expecting another baby. On June 1st, they welcomed baby Maya. Unfortunately, their sweet daughter has been diagnosed with Tricuspid Atresia. It is congenital heart disease. It is a congenital disability that affects the normal working of the heart.
It is an essential function that helps pump blood between the lungs and the body. Cory added that his little girl is in the recovery process. He also took to Instagram to share a picture with the newborn. Cory took her into his arms and placed a kiss on her forehead. He gave words of encouragement and shared his daughter would be home soon with her brother and sisters. Maya has had her surgery and is in the recovery process. The little one will have two open heart surgeries. Maya will have another surgery when she is 3 or 4 years old.
Teen Mom: Fans Offer Their Support To The Little Angel
The Teen Mom fans have been giving their full support to the little angel. A Fan wrote, “keeping her in my prayers.” Similarly, Brianna DeJesus commented on the picture, saying, “Congratulations, she is beautiful! You all are in my prayers!” The parents have been praying for the daughter as well. It is clearly heart-wrenching to see the little one fighting with her life. Apart from this, Tricuspid Atresia is extremely rare, with only 1 in every 9,751 babies getting it.
The disease can be diagnosed early during pregnancy. Hence, Maya’s heart condition was diagonised at the 22nd gestation period.
