Recently, Farrah, along with her daughter Sophia, who is now 16 years old, appeared on Kailyn Lowry’s podcast, Barely Famous. The mother and daughter spilled a lot of tea about their personal lives, relationships, and much more. Sophia also revealed that, at this point, she has no relationship with her grandparents.
The young teen, in an explosive revelation, admitted that she is the one who deliberately cut ties with her grandparents, Michael and Debra. She chose not to speak to them and further explained her decision during the podcast. On the other hand, her mom, Farrah, has also been on rocky terms with her parents. She stopped talking to her mother long ago and, in 2022, cut ties with her father as well.

In an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine, Michael shared that he’s spent the past five years living a quiet, private life and is now enjoying his 70s.
Reflecting on the past, he said he stood by Farrah when she had little support from others. Michael emphasized that Farrah was very young at the time, and as a concerned father, he did his best to help her face the difficult people around her.

However, she willingly chose to cut ties with her maternal grandparents.
Sophia clarified that she doesn’t regret her decision and feels completely fine about it. Farrah already has no relationship with her parents. She was estranged from her mother for years, and after her trauma treatment program in 2022, she cut ties with her father as well. Farrah recently revealed on Mother’s Day that she reached out to her mom, but this podcast was recorded a few months earlier, when she hadn’t spoken to either of her parents in two years.
Sophia did not elaborate on why she cut ties with her grandparents. As a child, she shared a cordial bond with them and even went on vacations with them. Farrah, in the same podcast, mentioned that although she doesn’t often communicate with her parents, she remains cordial with them. Her parents, especially her mom, enjoyed her comedy gig and still supports her in their own way.
This family dynamic is admittedly messy, and even Farrah and Sophia accept that. However, it’s important to understand that every family has its own complexities, often not shared publicly.
