A few days ago, Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry revealed that she suffered a mishap. In an Instagram story, Lowry disclosed that she experienced unfortunate side effects from her facelift and double chin surgery. The MTV alum sat in a cosmetic chair while a technician injected growth factor plasma into her jawline and chin. She also mentioned having her blood drawn. Kailyn added that she is “not getting work done or surgery.”

Instead, she will try to heal the nerve that is causing temporary paralysis. Back in August, the Teen Mom alum revealed that she underwent a double chin facelift. Lowry also recorded the entire experience and shared it with her fans on Instagram. The 33-year-old added that the surgery caused unexpected facial paralysis. She also said she learned exercises to reduce the inflammation. However, according to her doctors, the paralysis may last up to a year.

Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry posted a ‘get ready with me’ video on TikTok. In the video, she revealed that her mother, Suzi Irwin, made her feel insecure about her appearance. She said, “I’d just like to say that I was essentially conditioned to hate myself since I was a small kid.” She also explained that her mother never felt impressed by her. Her mom didn’t consider her ‘girly,’ ‘skinny,’ or ‘pretty’ enough.

“I just wasn’t what she wanted, so she was already unhappy with my body and things like that,” Kailyn added. She explained that these experiences led her to dislike her own body. In 2016, Lowry underwent a tummy tuck, a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), and Lipo360, calling it ‘the opportunity of a lifetime.’ She said she accepted the surgeries because they were free, describing them as ‘a blessing and a curse.’

The 33-year-old admitted that she faced significant backlash over her decision. She added that if she can fix something she doesn’t like, she will. “But also in the same breath, I’m like, I don’t want my daughter to feel like she needs to fix anything,” Kailyn said. However, she emphasized that other people’s opinions don’t matter to her; only how she feels about herself truly matters.

Still, Lowry warned her fans to ‘be careful’ about what they say about others. She added that such comments could push people toward plastic surgery. She admitted that growing up on television made things worse for her, exposing her to even more criticism. The 33-year-old said that, even though she has been open about her procedures, people accuse her of not being completely transparent.

“I will say, ‘OK, I did get this done or I didn’t get this done,’ and people will still say that I got stuff done that I didn’t get done,” Kailyn said.
