Kailyn agreed with him and added that being around the community can help parents understand their children more deeply. Isaac also emphasized that being gay doesn’t make someone different; it just means they have a different sexual preference.

Kailyn Lowry’s son, Isaac, recently came out and accepted that he is gay. He chose his mom’s podcast platform to reveal the news and received much love and support from fans. He revealed that he will now go by the name Elliott, which was previously his middle name. Isaac now identifies as gay and shared that he wanted to come out in the open and accept himself, but he wanted to do it on his own terms. However, things didn’t go as planned.
He further explained that someone leaked his prom photos online. He went to prom with a junior guy who knew about his sexual orientation. Kailyn revealed that it was really not cool, as her son is still a minor. Elliot shared that once people got to know about his sexuality, he decided to come out and talk about it more openly. He feels comfortable in his own skin, but wanted time to express his feelings.
He also shared that back in grade 5, a classmate told his dad about his sexuality, but at that time, he wasn’t even sure of it. By seventh grade, he realized that he was attracted to boys. Elliott clarified that both his parents have been very supportive, especially his aunt, his father’s sister.
Even his grandfather and grandmother accepted him. Initially, his grandmother felt confused about the situation and tried to relate everything to spirituality.
