The Baldwins: Former California Assemblymember Pay Fine For Hiding Alec Baldwin’s Payment!
Alec Baldwin attended a charity fundraising event for FCTIE back in 2020. According to a report by the State Fair Political Practices Commission, a former California assembly member, Evan Low, hid his payment. Evan was recently fined $106K after he admitted that he deliberately hid Alec’s payment. The Baldwins star appeared at the political fundraiser and even attended the evening function, which was a ticketed affair.

The FPPC also released a press statement on Thursday and revealed that Low is ready to pay the charges and fines. The fundraising event was for his 2020 assembly. In 2017, Evans and a group established the foundation for California’s Technology and Innovation Economy as a non-profit organization. The FPPC found that Evan Low and his various committee members violated California campaign finance laws. The former assemblyman initially claimed that Alec voluntarily appeared at the fundraising event without payment. He was only paid to attend the evening function.
Later, internal messages and records revealed that Evan from the FCTIE committee made a payment to Baldwin, which violated their rules. However, the committee agreed that it took them years to acquire evidence. Evan Low accepted his mistakes and is coordinating with the committee. Committee members were not happy with the poor performance, and they are very vocal about their opinions.
Evan Low is currently the President of the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund. In his statement, he further revealed that the California Fair Political Practices Commission has concluded the overdue process. He is now focused on essential work like building and growing the pipeline of LGBTQ+ elected officials across the country.
