Joel explained that the crew members helped him recover from the accident. It was not easy to come back to the shoot and act like nothing had happened. They wanted to honor Hutchins’ legacy, so they decided to proceed with the film. There was a point, he wished that he hadn’t written the film. It was a mess after a mess and a bad decision after a bad decision, but ultimately, they completed the Western film.
During the same interview, he was asked if he watched The Baldwins. Joel Souza revealed that he was busy hitting his face with a frying pan that night. He did not watch the show.
