It was in 2001 that the truth finally came to light. When Ridge needed the blood transfusion, tests were run to find a match and it turned out the Eric was not a match. This triggered Stephanie to wonder if her college lover, Massimo Marone was actually Ridge’s father.
It turns out she was right! Once the two of them learned the truth, Stephanie requested Massimo to keep the secret on The Bold and The Beautiful. However, such secrets have a way of coming out and it did! When Eric and Ridge found out that Massimo Marone was Ridge’s bio dad, it devastated them. Eventually, Eric came to terms with the truth and learned to get past it.
Massimo left Los Angeles in 2006 and never returned on The Bold and The Beautiful. Thus, Eric went on to be Ridge’s only father on the soap.
