Alas, things didn’t work out in the end, as Pedro filed for divorce from Chantel. Moreover, the husband isn’t ready to speak his mind, leaving Chantel wondering what has gone wrong in their relationship. Pedro’s silence and unfamiliar activities have also risen Everette’s insecurities. The Family Chantel star believes that her husband might be having an extramarital affair with his colleague, Antonella.
However, having a grudging feeling, the wife meets Pedro’s mother as she wants to work for her marriage. ETOnline shared an exclusive clip from Monday’s episode, where Chantel pays a visit to Pedro’s mother, Lidia. The wife reveals that her husband has shut her off and won’t even talk to her. More so, the clip has shocked fans as Chantel and Lidia never got along in the past. Yet, they sit face to face as Everette confides in her mother-in-law. Lidia makes Chantel comfortable and asks her what has happened between the two. But, like the fans, Chantel is confused and says she has no clue why Pedro is acting weird.
Shockingly, Lidia takes Chantel’s side and says that Pedro needs to make time for her. Long-time viewers know that Pedro’s family isn’t a fan of Chantel’s. Hence, as Lidia supported Everette, it seemed a big change on her part. Not only that, the mother-in-law advises Chantel that she should try and give birth to a son with Pedro. That way, Pedro Jimeno might become responsible and consider strengthening the relationship. However, The Family Chantel star reiterates her husband’s words and tells Lidia that Pedro doesn’t want to have kids for the next five-six years.
The Family Chantel: Why Is Lidia Helping Chantel?
Lidia supporting Chantel has been a shock for The Family Chantel viewers, but they are glad that things are finally going smoothly. Meanwhile, the reality star gives her mother-in-law a gift to sort out differences. Apart from that, the mother-in-law said she wants Pedro and Chantel to be together. On the contrary, weeks ago, Pedro told his mother that things were not well with his wife. And Lidia blatantly asked Pedro to leave Chant.
She also termed her daughter-in-law as “selfish” and “jealous.” Hence, now that Lidia supports Everette, the whole thing seems out of proportion.
