Pedro Jimeno’s lawyer, Emily Davis, noted that the reality star would not lose his “green card” amid the divorce.

Emily also stated that Pedro Jimeno had become a permanent lawful resident for ten years. However, there are some ways a person can lose their green card. That includes committing a crime or abandoning a residency. Hence, Pedro does not have such a lawsuit against him, so he is legally eligible to be a US citizen. Apart from that, Pedro will not need Chantel’s help to stay in the country. Similarly, Chantel is financially responsible for her ex-husband. In addition, the Family Chantel star and the US government have a contract. The contract states that Chantel will support Pedro under the US Government Poverty guidelines.
