From over-the-top parties and the latest trendy surgeries to even ridiculous fashion choices, The Kardashians clan has done it all. And then there are their choices of baby names. “Momager” Kris named her kids after the initial ‘K’. And these kids went on to call their own kids some unconventional names.
So, it came as a delightful surprise when the newly married pair, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, announced the name they had selected for the baby they were expecting. Travis had revealed the name and even said he had hinted about it in one of his previous interviews. And safe to say the name isn’t what you’d expect it to be, but it does live up to the Kardashian standards.

Travis Barker and Kourtney got married in May 2022. The couple, deeply in love, tied the knot in Italy with close family and friends. Fast forward to June 18, 2023, the POOSH owner and the eldest sister of The Kardashians clan was announcing her pregnancy to the world and her husband, Travis, in the concert of his band Blink-182.
That isn’t where the surprise ends because how can anything Kardashian be without the ‘unique’ factor? The Blink-182 drummer revealed in a podcast with Toby Morse that he won’t be able to perform at the Hawaii concert. The reason for this was a bomb dropped in a very low-key style. Travis revealed his son’s name as ‘Rocky’ and the due date as “either Halloween or like the first week of November”.
The name was a testament to the couple’s love for rock and roll music. And it fits right in with the other Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ descendants as well. In an interview that Travis had previously done with his daughter Alabama, he had expressed his desire to name his kid Rocky, but Alabama wasn’t on the same page.
However, the name ‘Rocky’ is here to stay. And that has nothing to do with ‘Rocky’ the movie and everything to do with the 47-year-old drummer’s love for Rocky George of Suicidal Tendencies. But hold on, there’s a lot to ‘Keep Up With’ here.
The baby’s full name is – Rocky Thirteen Barker. One way to justify this is Travis’s belief, “13 is just the greatest number of all time.” The other way is to count the number of Kardashian children already in existence.
With the new baby adding one more to that number, it will be a total of 13 Kardashian grandchildren. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star mentioned this in her TikTok video. She called the baby “lucky number 13”.
Even fans might have guessed the name ‘Rocky’ due to a baby shower picture on social media. At Kourtney’s Disneyland-themed baby shower, the couple had an apple Wishing tree. There, people could write and hang blessings for the baby. One of the eagle-eyed viewers caught the words “Baby Rocky” in a wish. All we have to say about the name is – “You are doing amazing, sweetie!”

Right from Kourtney reminding Kim that “there’s people that are dying” to reminding the ‘famous’ “Christman Light Gate”, the eldest and the youngest Kardashian sisters have mocked each other and been at odds.
From dressing up as each other in that one Keeping Up With The Kardashians Episode, Kourtney up the game and dressed up in Kim’s famous ‘Floral Couch Dress’ of the Met Gala this Halloween. She went all out with the raspberry pout, the sleek back pony and even the peony-covered gloves and sandals. And, of course, the big baby bump!
Although we don’t know whether it is the same dress that Kim wore, it looks eerily identical. The SKIMMS owners wore it to the Met Gala when she went as Kanye West’s plus one. The Kardashians fashion mogul was then pregnant with her first child North. And the poor woman was criticised like anything for her fashion choice.
The Kardashians star had recalled crying in the car “the whole way”. It was revealed in a 2019 interview that the star initially wanted to go with a black version of the dress. However, the then creative director, Riccardo Fisci, pushed Kim to pick the now-famous dress, saying Anna Wintour “really wanted the floral”.
