What Has Happened So Far?
The Tuesday mid-season finale of The Resident revealed that Cain, who we thought wasn’t suspicious of Mina, had his eyes on her all the time. In fact, he had been thoroughly plotting his revenge against her. Mina started having troubles right from the start of the Tuesday episode. First, the immigration officer asked her for proof of her training in Nigeria. She was worried that maybe Nigeria would not release in time. At the time, she said her thoughts aloud to AJ wondering if someone was trying to sabotage her career.
Then she was called out of the surgery to meet someone from the Georgia Medical Board, which revealed that she was under investigation. In fact, Mina was asked three questions in a row. First, if she had a romantic relationship with her patient Micah? Second, if she was in a romantic relationship with her mentor AJ, and if she once used to run a hospital from her home? After that, Mina asked if she could see her lawyer first. Then she went to see AJ and told him that she strongly suspects that all of this is being done by Cian.
The same night, AJ visited Cain and warned him that if this investigation did not stop, AJ is coming for Cain. It looked like this warning was enough to spook Cain, who then called someone called Moises Knoll, asking him to stop everything they were doing against Mina. However, Moises told him that it wasn’t possible now.
The Resident Season 4 Episode 9: What Would Happen Next?
Since there is sometime before we would get The Resident Season 4 Episode 9, we do not have a lot of information about what would happen next on the show. However, keeping in mind how the show is moving forward so far, we can expect that the next episodes will also move forward in the same manner.
