Step into the dramatic world of The Young and the Restless, where sudden change of heart is as regular as grabbing a coffee at Crimson Lights. With that said, let us tell you that fans of the show are once again in for a surprising treat. But who is in the spotlight? It’s none other than Victoria Newman, the powerful heiress with a frosty attitude that’s got viewers both hooked and, at times, not so thrilled.
As the story takes unexpected turns, a big question is buzzing around Newman Enterprises: Is there a new Victoria on the way? Could the ice princess be warming up, showing a kinder, gentler side? Let’s explore the possibility and find out, as fans are wondering if Victoria is about to change. Maybe opening up a new chapter with surprising friendships and revelations?
Is Victoria’s Character Arc In Need Of A Reset?
As someone who watches The Young And The Restless, we must confess that our feelings toward Victoria have taken a downturn lately. Our concerns with Victoria started when she teamed up with Nate against Lily and Devon. It bothered us that she didn’t seem to care about being mean and getting involved in the Winters/Hastings family issues.
Later on, Victoria had an affair with Nate, even though he was dating Elena. It was disappointing to see her ignore Elena’s feelings and not apologize properly. Another thing that bothered us is how Victoria treats her brothers, especially Adam. We know they’ve never really gotten along, but it’s strange that she’s now pushing Victor to cut ties with his youngest son. Since Victor is the only parent Adam has left, it seems pretty harsh for Victoria to want them to stop talking.

Also, as we think about it, Victoria’s reasons for always making demands and bothering Adam seem a bit two-faced. She says Adam keeps hurting their dad, but not too long ago, Victoria led a charge to sue her dad for lots of money and tried to take away Newman Enterprises. That seems pretty harmful. And when it comes to Nick, she fired him as Newman’s COO just to replace him with Nate, basically. Except for Nikki, Nick is Victoria’s best friend, so it seemed pretty mean for her to push him aside from the family business. Once again, she didn’t really apologize for what she did but instead tried to explain it to her favorite sibling. Even though we have many reasons why we find Victoria annoying, we recently found a reason to hope that she’s starting to become a bit nicer. What’s that?
The Young And The Restless: Victoria’s Heartfelt Turn
Since Claire and Jordan kidnapped her, and she later found out that there’s a chance Claire is her long-lost daughter Eve with Cole, a kinder side of Victoria has started to show. Watching Victoria advocate for Claire during the week of December 11 was really heartwarming.
Even when her own family wasn’t on board, Victoria stood firm that Claire never had a fair shot growing up under Jordan’s control. She believes Claire deserves more than just ending up in prison. Even if Claire turns out not to be Victoria’s biological daughter (though we’re pretty convinced they are related), Victoria has promised to help her with the legal troubles. That’s real compassion.

We are hopeful that this crack in Victoria’s tough exterior keeps growing, letting viewers see more of her human side in 2024. And if our hunch about Claire being her daughter turns out to be true, we would like to see Victoria start fresh with Adam. If Victoria can be okay with accepting Claire as her child, even though Claire once held the Newman clan hostage and poisoned them, then she should be more understanding of Adam. Victoria should understand why Victor wants to stay connected to the family’s black sheep. From what we know, Adam hasn’t tried to kill any of his family members.
Also, if viewers are in for a changed Victoria soon, we would really like to see her team up with Cole again. He seems to bring out her nicer qualities, and unlike Nate, Cole won’t encourage her more ruthless urges. Do you hope for the same?
