Daniel Explodes At The Bicentennial Gala
Ever since Daniel Romalotti returned to Genoa City on The Young and The Restless, he has been trying to turn a new leaf. Daniel has had a troubled early life, and it has cost him dearly. He has gone through episodes of anger and depression over the years that constantly stood in the path of his personal and professional life. So much so, that his marriage with Heather crashed, and she moved away to Portugal with his daughter, Lucy. Even recently, when they returned to GC, he couldn’t save his marriage, and Heather informed him that she has moved on in life with a new partner.
While the end of his marriage did not immediately lead Daniel to get unhinged on The Young and The Restless, it could have certainly started the ball rolling. Because, when Jeremy declared at the Gala that he and Phyllis are married, Daniel sort of erupted. He ripped into Jeremy, claiming that his mother would never marry someone like him. Furthermore, when Chance informed that Phyllis has passed away in the crash, Daniel exploded like a massive volcano. Will Daniel Turn Dark On The Young and The Restless?
As we mentioned, Daniel has a history of anger and depressive episodes on The Young and The Restless. As a young adult, he was also severely reckless with substance use, such as alcohol. Could losing his mother like this trigger his past behaviour? It hasn’t been that long since he embarked on this journey of mending his life. Moreover, he really broke his mother’s heart when he fired her in a fit of rage. Phyllis’ death could drown Daniel in rivers of guilt.
The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Daniel will soon become consumed by the urge to avenge his mother’s death. But who would become the recipient of his rage on the soap? Will it be his new stepdad, Jeremy Stark, or will it be Diane Jenkins? After all, Diane did try to choke Phyllis earlier that evening! So Daniel could easily hold Diane responsible for causing Phyllis’ meltdown. If Daniel goes down that road, he could become so dark that he would even step back from his gaming platform and dive headfirst into vengeance.
